There’s a saying that Sergey is the calmest instructor you'll ever meet. He’s always remarkably composed. Worried about something? Talk to Sergey. He’ll tell you that if there’s no threat to life, then every problem is solvable. And these aren’t just words—he knows what he’s talking about, having sailed with “zero-experience” crews and small children on board, where the captain is responsible for everything and handles it all himself. By the way, the youngest sailors often play a game called “being Uncle Sergey,” which says a lot!
Sergey’s love for adventure doesn’t stop at the sea. He’s been passionate about mountaineering since his school days, and over time, this passion became a profession. He regularly leads winter hiking and snowmobile tours through the Ural Mountains. He’s also an avid off-piste splitboarder, often hiking to the top before riding down. So, if you can’t decide between “sea or mountains,” why not follow the rule “both”?
Brief Biography: Sergey was born in 1975 in the town of Lesnoy, Sverdlovsk region. He graduated from Ural State Technical University in Yekaterinburg. Sailing since 2009. He enjoys spearfishing, winter, listening to rock music, eating cheese, and drinking tea (though he’s not picky). A proud father of many.
