Since 2005, Sergey Bashinsky (affectionately known as "The Bearded Captain") has been sailing the seas. Did he imagine how much his life would change? Probably not. But this successful lawyer traded his office for a yacht club, and later, his apartment for a yacht.

Instead of mundane walks in city parks, regattas became his passion. The most challenging, yet unforgettable, was the solo race "Chichester Race."
Different cities, different countries, and the endless sea... The Black Sea, the Sea of Marmara, the Aegean, Ionian, Tyrrhenian, and Mediterranean Seas, with a particular fondness for the Atlantic.

Today, "The Bearded Captain" lives and travels with his wife aboard their 40-foot yacht, "White Russian."

"I would return from one journey, walk down the gangway, and already be planning the next voyage. Yachting has become a part of my life, where everything is real. There's nothing artificial."

Together with Seacharter and the TV channel "My Planet," Sergey conceived and brought to life the WINDZOOM project—mindful sailing journeys around the world.

He truly loves what he does, and when you return to shore, you'll always have stories to tell over a glass of rum in good company. Onboard his yacht, you’ll find not just sailing manuals, but also a couple of snorkeling masks, spearfishing gear, kite equipment, and a guitar with an amp (the snowboard and bike couldn’t fit). In short, everything you need to enjoy life under sail!
